Do you know what is nesting in your BBQ when you are not using it? The owners of EZ Grill found a nest in their old BBQ - and it looks like we are not the only ones. This partial article is from the Houston Chronicle.
Turn-ons: The final figures are in, and Houston raked in a $49.5 million windfall by hosting Wrestlemania 25 back in April. And $5.7 million of that was taxes that went directly to Rich Uncle Pennybags (local and state government). That puts Wrestlemania on par with every major sporting event, with the exception of the Super Bowl. More than 72,000 fans attended Wrestlemania from all 50 states and 24 foreign countries. In addition to Wrestlemania, World Wrestling Entertainment hosted a Hall of Fame induction ceremony and Monday Night Raw at Toyota Center. There were art shows and more family-style events, too. In all, an incredible — and profitable — week of wrestling craziness here in Houston. The WWE will be back at Toyota Center on Dec. 8. Tickets are available at Toyota Center outlets. I always have to remind people, Toyota Center does not use Ticketmaster, so don't get caught with your wrestling tights down.
Turnoffs: Remember a few years ago when I opened my gas grill lid and saw a rat the size of Godzilla in there? I still wake up with the sweat shakes over that. Now a product called EZ Grills is available in most Randall's and Walmarts. They're portable, disposable grills that come pre-packed with charcoal briquets. All you have to do is stick a match in there and wait a few minutes. You use them one time and pitch them in the trash. Godzilla will have to live and dine someplace else. I know this isn't the most environmental of ideas, but I'm pretty good at recycling and bicycling, so allow me one piggish action. Speaking of piggish, these grills stay hot long enough to cook spare ribs.
This is the second year in a row that weather has made life miserable for fans attending World Series games. Last year, the Phillies and Rays could hardly run the bases because the track was so slippery. The first game this year was played in a constant cold drizzle.......
